Please forgive the lack of posts of late. Changing course and direction. We’ll be back soon.
The residents of Puyallup know they live in a charming city. They know the benefits of a being situated out of the “big city” while holding on to great freeway access. They are learning just how much the city of Puyallup is wanting to give back to her citizens. Today Pioneer Park, located in front of the Puyallup Public Library, hosted a wonderful children’s event and opened the parks wading pool for eager children and their families.
The city’s new wading pool is opening five days a week. Children will have four hours to enjoy cooling off and playing in the shallow cement formation. Life guards are on duty to watch children; parental or adult supervision is best. The pool is open Monday – Friday; except Tuesday, which is when Pioneer Park hosts colourful and entertaining children’s events. The times are as follows”
Pool Fill Begins: 11:15 am
Noon – 1:30 pm: POOL OPEN
1:30 – 2 pm: Pool closed for re-circulation
2 – 3:30 pm: POOL OPEN
3:30 – 4 pm: Pool closed for re-circulation
4 – 5:30 pm: POOL OPEN
5:30 pm: Pool drained and closed

The music is spread out over 4 venues, with 17 different musical acts. Not only do you actually get to ride your bike from stage to stage, you get to move along with a “Live on Bike” stage, but a lucky few are chosen to actually power the performance themselves.
This is a GREEN (read that: grassroots, environmentally friendly, sustainable and probably certified organic) gathering people! Not only are the featured musicians on a bicycle voyage covering the West Coast clear down to Mexico, but they carry with them the stage, instruments and all else needed to perform. I’m sorry, but I’d rather stand by the road side and watch this caravan pass than the Tour de France. Sorry Lance, I’m a fan really but…. I’m sure the Pleasant Revolution is so much more colourful.
For the details, please see our previous post here. To see video, listen to songs, read the history of and generally see how keen this is go to their site: The Pleasant Revolution: Seattle Bicycle Music Festival.
